The Future of the Fairway is Female: 4 Brands You Need to Know this Women’s Month - Fairway Styles

March is International Women's Month, but what does that mean for golf? Well, for us at Fairway Styles, it means shining a light on the women-owned brands that are shaping modern golf.

The golf apparel industry has long been overdue for a shift, and trailblazing brands like Fore All, Calliope, Williams Athletic Club, and LOHLA SPORT are setting a new standard for confidence, inclusivity, and everyday elegance. Here is a look at how they came about and why we love them.

Fore All

Founded by Jen Clyde and Michelle Money, Fore All is shaking up the golf industry by prioritizing inclusivity and style for the modern woman. Born from the duo’s own authentic journey learning the game, the brand grew rapidly through a grassroots, organic community rather than traditional advertising. By identifying a major gap in the market for stylish, functional women’s apparel, the founders successfully transitioned from hosting golf events in 2021 to launching a full, dedicated apparel line in March 2023 through a strategic partnership with World Wide Golf.

More than just a clothing line, Fore All has evolved into a full-scale lifestyle brand. By blending high-quality gear with relatable content, Jen and Michelle are actively working to dismantle outdated golf stereotypes and empower a new generation of players. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just picking up your first club, Fore All is proving that the sport is truly for everyone – one stylish swing at a time.

Williams Athletic Club

Williams Athletic Club was founded by Susi Proudman, whose 30 years in the fashion industry include stops at iconic brands like Nike, lululemon, M&S, and Aritzia. Using her own personal experiences at the golf course, she set out to create an alternative to traditional golf apparel, hoping to help women feel as comfortable and confident as possible both on the course and in the clubhouse.

The company name borrows a common moniker from Proudman’s family – “William” – and puts it with “Athletic,” because every piece is designed with technical performance in mind, and “Club,” in reference to the country club lifestyle the brand embodies. And speaking of lifestyle, golf is more than just what happens on the course, and Williams Athletic Club fully embraces that mentality. It’s designed for fashion-forward women who balance things like careers, families, and social commitments, all while making a statement of confidence and style.

LOHLA SPORT

This premium brand prides itself on providing “European design for the American sporting lifestyle,” and the proof is in the clothing. Launched in June 2020 by CEO and Founder Lisa O'Hurley, LOHLA SPORT brings sophisticated, first-class European influence to the United States market. The collections are specifically tailored for those who embrace a country club, resort, or traveling lifestyle, offering on-trend designs infused with a distinctive touch of LA flair.

The brand's commitment to excellence is symbolized by its distinctive 5-point star emblem, which represents five core pillars that form the LOHLA SPORT experience. This includes “superlative fit and function,” “first class design,” “exquisite fabrics sourced worldwide,” “easily assembled coordinated outfits,” and “created by a tremendous team.” Add it all together, and you are playing with LOHLA SPORT.

Calliope Golf

After discovering the joy of golf – but also the lack of stylish and feminine apparel that went along with it – Cassy Isaacs set out to create a brand dedicated to the modern woman, and Calliope Golf was born. After years of scouring pro shops and finding only a "tiny back corner" dedicated to women's golf wear, Cassy finally decided that “enough is enough." She once told Golf Digest, “My golf game already made me look bad enough, I didn't need my clothing to double down on that."

This frustration, combined with a competitive spirit and a desire to feel confident on the course, was the catalyst for Calliope. Built on the idea that women shouldn't have to choose between performance and style, Calliope offers "distinctively Calliope" pieces that are designed to make a statement, with limited drops to ensure that every woman feels unique and confident on the course.
