The Modern Brands Putting the FUN Back in Golf

The Modern Brands Putting the FUN Back in Golf

There are many aspects of golf that can be described as fun, like being outdoors, hanging with friends and the competitive gameplay. But one part of the sport that hasn’t always been considered fun is the fashion. Until now.

The golf boom over the past decade has brought a slew of new players that are approaching the game differently, like playing shorter courses and focusing more on the social scene than the golf itself. And along with that new attitude has been a plethora of youthful and unique brands, all with their own flare and approach to the game.

So here is a look at how some of our favorite brands like Del Campo, Students Golf and G/FORE have injected some fun into our style, reminding us not to take the game so seriously, but that it’s definitely okay to take your golf fashion seriously.

How Students Golf is Rewriting the Rulebook

Fashion designer Michael Huynh – who previously started the brand Publish – first launched Students Golf in 2021, a youthful lifestyle brand that prides itself on being both a little sporty and a little smart, and of course golfer-approved. Huynh has been on a mission to dress his fellow “students” of the game ever since.

The approach for Students Golf has been to rewrite the rules of the game with a fresh perspective, with apparel like utility shorts, eye-catching graphic t-shirts, oxford layers, and unique polos to say the least.

G/FORE: Bold Colors and High Performance Can Coexist

Since launching in 2011, the G/FORE brand has used its modern designs and rebellious energy to stand out in the world of golf, something that is getting harder and harder to do.

And one common reaction when people think of G/Fore is that it’s youthful, bright and fun, which just so happens to be a great way to describe the type of golf season that us golfers yearn for.

Why Del Campo is Making Socks the Main Event

Forget boring hosiery. When a buddy asked Del Campo creator Zack Brust why he was rocking basketball socks on the course, he didn’t just shrug – he treated it like a design challenge. Drawing on his experience as a former Florida Gators kicker and a Tesla engineer, Zack took what began as a side hustle on a Florida mini-course and turned it into the gold standard for golf socks.

Del Campo isn't just about the signature smiley; it’s about obsessive performance engineering. By building them from scratch and pressure-testing every round, Brust has created a sock that performs under the heat of the game while keeping the vibe strictly fun.
